I guess it'll have to be Issue 41, but I recently updated Kitty House after a two year hiatus. I don't really expect anyone to watch it considering its viewership from before but it'd be nice if someone would review it. The two year gap gave me a chance to look at things and patch stuff up for the better.

I'd post the teaser image but it's kind of long so I'll just not do that here.

Edit: Is it the title? Maybe the title is offputting. I keep thinking if I named it something besides Kitty House, I could get more viewers to check it out.

To be completely blunt, the graphical style is very uninviting. That's probably the main reason you're not getting many views. Also, a lot of OHRers don't care for OHR House or other OHR movies in general, which could be throwing you off. Third, I got bored of the first episode pretty quickly simply because I didn't like any of the characters. I'm not sure if that's stopping anyone else, but it could be.

I was willing to give the show a try because I actually do like a good OHR movie, and I was willing to keep up with it provided the characters kept me interested. The problem I had with it, though, was that a few of those characters were repulsive, and watching the show became a chore because of it. I'm not a fan of vulgarity to begin with, but some of those characters took it to an extreme that, frankly, turned me off, and I hadn't been interested in spending another week with them thanks to that. It didn't help that one of the few "nice" cast members who gave the show a reasonable balance got the boot in the first week. That just confirmed that the repulsive ones would endure, and I don't have patience for that.

To bounce off of what JSH said, because the OHR is so small, and because the likelihood of finding viewers who are interested enough to keep following it is smaller, I think that if you want the show to live up to your viewership vision, you need to post it on bigger indie sites. Maybe ask Rinku to hype it on TIGsource or something. The one advantage you have over all the other OHR movies around here is that your characters aren't about the OHR, so you aren't in the same polarizing boat as OHR House and OHR House: Heroes. I'm sure there are people beyond the scope of the OHR that would love to watch Kitty House. Of course, to go back to the question about the title: the title won't steer people away; the shock of having so much vulgarity in a game with a title that sounds like it's marketed to eight-year-old girls will. You'd probably want a more mature title if you're going to keep up with the themes you're writing about.

Having said that, don't be discouraged to continue just because the OHR community consists of twelve people who don't like thirty-minute cutscenes. You're a good story teller and you have a knack for atmosphere and sound effects, so I'd say keep doing what you're doing (with less vulgarity), but test the waters beyond the scope of the OHR community (using the OHR engine as your platform, of course, because people beyond the scope of the community should still know what the OHR can do now). I think you'll find your audience that way.

The same message applies to Bloodlust, and though I'm still a fan of the OHR, I'm actually happy that you're making the sequel on another engine. I've always thought that ideas like that work better on engines like the Adventure Game Studio (the one responsible for the 5 Days a Stranger series), and personally I'm more likely to play a game like that on the adventuring platform than I am on the OHR. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that there are more games like that already on AGS that it would seem appropriate for Bloodlust to join their ranks. Or maybe battles take away from the story what straight-up puzzle elements can put back in. In any case, I think it would benefit you to submit those games to sites outside of the OHR community, since those sites attract players who would never otherwise find the OHR.

But yeah, less vulgarity.

What is it about the graphical style? If you mean the crap real life photos I used, I changed it to drawn pictures (also updated recently) and I've brightened up the colors. I just want to know so I can make it more appealing to a wider audience.

I've had a two year period to look back at my writing, and for the recent version, I went and trimmed it and cleared it up so that a lot of the vulgarities you're mentioning now are gone. I also finally went back and changed the end scene in week 2 where the angry minorities are now protesters. Granted, there's still some vulgarity, but in moderation.

I was hoping someone could take a second look at what's available now, and give me their thoughts so I can go ahead and fix it up more (I still need to go back and trim dialogue for Bloodlust), because I want to release both this and Bloodlust to a wider indie community but I want them to be fairly good quality first.

At the very least, check the banner I posted here and tell me if the new character portraits are appealing? http://www.slimesalad.com/forum/viewgame.php?t=3783
