say about last month's issue.
"I love that Nathan Karr is portrayed as a turkey in Ask Surlaw.
Just throwing it out there.
Good
articles all around. Six reviews is a pretty good turn out. We need to
get some ART up in this mutha. Like REAL art and not just
pseudo-philisophical discussions about what constitutes art. I think
Monsterology spoiled me..."
-Mr. 8-Bit
"I really liked
this issue, it's one of the few ones I've clicked every link on it,
mainly because everything looked interesting!
I would like more tutorials, however. They're what I really like.
Previews too!" -Blue Train
"I've
said this elsewhere, but the review of Do You Want to be a Hero? (and the
discussion that ensued) was really helpful. And the Bob rap is still
really great." -Mogri
"I just finished,
and I think the issue is just a
really solid issue. I enjoyed this Ask Surlaw a lot more, I think maybe
because it was in a writing format instead of typed dialogue? Nah,
probably because I love George Harrison.
I'm surprised no one has started talking about JSH's feature yet.
While I don't know if I disagree with his assessment for the community
as a whole, I do find myself to be a basic counter-example. I never, or
only very rarely, think about the community when I work on my games,
and I never pay attention to the various contests. In fact, I ignore
those posts more than any others (unless you count the Slime Arena
and/or CP's journals).
A pretty review-heavy issue, and I thought the reviews were pretty well
done."

"I was
nervous about SHiIDA's
review, but I'm
glad how it turned out. Gives me some pointers on what to focus on and
refine for the full release.
"Environment" is popping up a lot from people who played this
game, I'll keep that as a priority. I'm glad someone noticed the battle
mechanics, I plan to put a lot of work into that and, hopefully, make
battles fun. (Wandering Hamster's enemy-gimmick-ideas page was an
inspiration.)
Oddly, the black overlay is absent from all of 8-Bit's screenshots.
Wonder how that happened." -Baconlabs
