Previews

Welcome to this month's previews section! Here, anyone making an OHR game who wants a little more exposure can advertise their games. Previews cover a wide range of games; works in progress, demos, or finished products. If you want a preview of your game to appear in the next issue, send the title, a couple of screenshots (.png format if possible), a description (a paragraph or two is fine) and a link to download if one exists to bobsurlaw@yahoo.com.

This month's previewed games are Halloween Quest 3 and Surlaw: Armageddon.

Halloween Quest 3, by Red Maverick Zero

Monthly, starting now, I will disclose information about my newest epic game, Halloween Quest 3 for you all.

Let's meet two characters, Mark and Stephen. (Click for larger images)

Mark is the main character this time around. Straying away from what I did with the first two and using the same main characters, I've decided to make a new game, a new world, everything. Anyways, Mark weilds a sword and lives in the quiet town, Fallbrook Town. Strange things start happening, and when the enemy starts claiming they know things about him that not even he does, he takes it upon himself to figure out why, taking down a few of these creatures along the way. He's a strongwilled and confident guy, with a bit of mystery surrounding him.

Stephen is Mark's childhood friend. The two grew up in Fallbrook together and he manages to churn out a bit of humor and sarcasm for the rest of the team. Of all people, he knows Mark the best, and when Mark decides to go on a journey, sure enough, his best friend is there to go along for the ride.

Surlaw: Armageddon, by Paul Harrington
After years of stagnancy, Surlaw: Armageddon is back! This surreal horror adventure stars Bob Surlaw, the hero of Walthros and its various spin-offs, as he confronts the end of the world. Universes will cross, old friends will return, and the world as we know it will end. Is this a sequel to Walthros, a sequel to Walthrus, or something else entirely? You'll see soon. Expect a demo release on Halloween 2007.
